UK tariffs from 1 January 2021
From 1 January 2021, the UK will apply a UK-specific tariff to imported goods. This UK Global Tariff (UKGT) will replace the EU’s Common External Tariff, which applies until 31 December 2020.

DIRECTIVES FOR THE NEGOTIATION OF A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND
The Council of the European Union today adopted a decision authorising the opening of negotiations for a new partnership with the UK, and formally nominating the Commission as EU negotiator. The Council also adopted negotiating directives which constitute a mandate to the Commission for the negotiations.
